1. During a visit to the Kurchatov Institute Research Center, Mikhail Mishustin, Dmitry Chernyshenko and Valery Falkov launched the most powerful thermonuclear installation in the country - the Tokamak T-15MD. Its commissioning will be another step towards obtaining controlled thermonuclear fusion - an inexhaustible and safe source of energy.

2. Scientists of the Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI, together with the company JSC ‘Information Satellite Systems‘ named after MF Reshetnev, have developed and patented an electrical energy converter for power supply systems for aerospace vehicles, which allows to reduce the mass of the power supply system, thereby increasing the economic efficiency of the vehicles.

3. To simplify the process of air diagnostics, to make it faster and less costly, the joint development of scientists from the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University ‘LETI’ and the Saratov State Technical University named after Yu.A. Gagarin. Their invention - a multisensor chip weighing only 5g - belongs to the field of sensor technology and nanotechnology. The main difference between their device is that it consists of several adsorption chemoresistive sensors, which makes it possible to determine the presence of several gases in the air.

4. Russian scientists, together with their German colleagues, have created a new laser that records molecules in a unique infrared spectrum. For this, physicists used crystals of zinc selenide with an admixture of iron. The device will track the pollution of the atmosphere and air at industrial enterprises, and can also give rise to new methods of diagnosing diseases.

5. A demonstrator of hybrid aircraft engine technologies, which in the future will not be inferior in terms of technical characteristics to existing gas turbine plants, while consuming much less fuel and harming the environment, will appear in Russia in 2023, General Designer of the United Engine Corporation Rostec(UEC) Yuri told reporters Shmotin.
