    • A decree approving a new AI development strategy is expected in the near future

     

    This was announced at the AI Journey conference by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. The updated strategy will meet the large-scale challenges facing the AI market in the Russian Federation, such as the creation of computing power, advanced scientific developments and the growth of the pace of AI implementation in economic sectors and public administration.

    • Sber issued 1 million rubles to the authors of the best article on artificial intelligence

     

    The best scientific article in the collection of the international conference “Journey into the world of artificial Intelligence” (AI Journey 2023) was awarded a cash prize of 1 million rubles. The prize was awarded to a group of researchers from Innopolis University and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. The Savings Bank clarified that in general they received more than 270 applications from different countries on the most relevant topics in the field of AI

    • An Internet project to help student startups has been launched in Russia

    • Rosatom has created a giant 3D printer to replace the Chinese one

     

    Rosatom State Corporation presented an import-independent large-size 3D printer “High-Tech 800” with a working field size of 800 mm. Together with the device, the developers have created a methodology for training workers to introduce new industries. As a result, an algorithm was worked out for the rapid construction of plants that meet modern requirements.

    • The government intends to open budget financing for the development of AI in healthcare

     

    The federal project “Digital Health Services” will be launched in Russia, follows from the list of instructions given to the departments by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Part of it will be budget support for the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine — on Wednesday, the Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance to provide funding for this process starting from 2025 when forming a new federal project.
