1. The national technology initiative will be supplemented with new projects. On April 24, a meeting of the Presidium of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Economic Modernization and Innovative Development of Russia was held on the basis of the Moscow Technopark "Glory". The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation was Dmitry  Medvedev. Participation in the meeting was accepted by the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation O.Yu. Vasilyeva. Among other issues, the meeting participants discussed the results of the implementation of the National Technological Initiative (STI) in 2017 and plans for 2018.

2. FASO Russia took part in the 13th meeting of the Russian-Japanese Commission for Scientific and Technical Cooperation. Representatives of the Federal Agency of Scientific Organizations took part in the 13th meeting of the Russian-Japanese Commission on Scientific and Technical Cooperation, which was held in Tokyo (Japan). The Russian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Grigory Trubnikov.

3. ExoMars. WORKING GROUP OF THE MISSION of 2020 

The working group of the Russian-European mission ExoMars 2020 discussed the status of the elements of the mission, work plans for the coming months and the state of work on space vehicles and instruments. The meeting of the group was held at the Space Research Institute (SRI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The launch of the ExoMars 2020 mission is planned for the summer of 2020, approximately from July 25 to August 13. This is the second most important stage of the "big" Russian-European project "ExoMars", the main task of which is to study the Red Planet in terms of its "suitability" for life. The scientific instruments of the mission are aimed at studying the processes that could contribute to the emergence of life, the search for possible evidence of the existence of living organisms or prebiological evolution.

4. RSS. The Infrastructure Information Support System Presented at the «Navitech» Forum Developed in the JSC "Russian Space Systems" (RSS  is included in the State Corporation "ROSKOSMOS"), a special information system based on GLONASS technologies allows to create  a federal system for monitoring and managing the traffic of small unmanned aircraft system ( UAS ) and organize an effective and safe use of drones in Russia . This was reported by the RSS specialists at the XIV International Navigation Forum "Navitech", which opened in Moscow on April 24. Practical testing of the new system has been carried out since the end of 2017

5. A meeting of the Presidium of the State Commission for the Development of the Arctic was held in Rosatom On April 24, a meeting of the Presidium of the State Commission for the Development of the Arctic was held in Moscow, in the main building of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin. During the meeting, the development of a space satellite group was discussed to provide communication services in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, the implementation of the state program "Social and Economic Development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation", as well as the development of border infrastructure in the Arctic and its technical re-equipment.

6. Scientists taught the neural network to identify a person's gender according to the written text. The team of scientists from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, the National Research Center Kurchatov Institute and the Voronezh State University has developed a method that teaches the computer to recognize a person's gender according to the text he wrote with an accuracy of 80 percent. Scientific development belongs to the field of computer linguistics. The study was provided with a grant from the Russian Science Foundation. The results have been published in the journal Procedia Computer Science.
