1. On March 3, in Moscow, the first All-Russian Festival of Virtual and Augmented Reality Technologies aimed at children and youth with the involvement of technology and intellectual partners of the industry has been completed. The facilitator of the Festival was the Foundation for New Forms of Education Development with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.



2. In the Vladimir region, the Verkhnevolzhsky Federal Agrarian Research Center has begun its work. The Upper Volga Federal Agrarian Research Center was established on the basis of the Vladimir Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture.



3. Nizhny Novgorod scientists have proposed a method for obtaining an electron-positron plasma of extremely high density. Scientists from the Federal Research Center The Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, together with colleagues from the Nizhny Novgorod State University, found conditions under which the avalanche-like production of electrons and positrons at the focus of a high-power laser pulse leads to a record high-density plasma.



4. 82% of participants of the RSPC have showed stable growth of projects in 2017. Of 2226 technological start-ups that passed the training program within the framework of the regional sessions of practical consulting (RSPC) in 2016, 1825 (82%) continued development and 334 (15%) reached new stages of development.



5. The branch project "Composite Materials" has been presented to the Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The General Director of UMATEX Group (Rosatom) Alexander Tyunin presented the industry project "Composite Materials" to the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov at the Federal Industrial Forum "United Russia" "Locomotives of the Russian Economy", which was held on March 2, 2018 in Ivanovo.



6. The President of the Academy of Sciences of Latvia, Professor Ojārs Sparitis, and the Economic Adviser of the Latvian Embassy in Moscow, Andris Vilkans, have visited Skoltech during a working visit on March 1 and have discussed with the Institute's management the prospects for cooperation.
