1.Specialists from the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Peter the Great - a university-participant of Project 5-100, have developed a unique device for complex water purification that could replace the process of disinfection with chlorine. The device is an electrolysis aggregate using an innovative reagent of sodium ferrate.



2. Russian scientists have been improving the diagnosis of hereditary genetic diseases. Scientists of the Medical Genetics Research Center, subordinate to the Russian Academy of Sciences, developed a clinical exome for 6,300 genes. Today, this is the most complete exome, proposed by Russian experts.



3. Scientists from the MSTU and the Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences have been developing an ultra-precise laser clock. It is assumed that they will find application in modern radio engineering systems (GLONASS, communication equipment and radar, etc.). The new device will determine the time 10 times more accurately than the existing reference meters - this will, in particular, improve the quality of geolocation.



4. The RSF announces the beginning of a public discussion of the concept of the infrastructure event of the Presidential Research Projects Program. The Russian Science Foundation offers to familiarize with approaches to the formation of the fourth - infrastructure competition of the Presidential program of research projects implemented by leading, including young scientists.



5. In the State Corporation Rosatom, within the framework of the Fuel Division, a specialized company, Rusatom-Additive Technologies has been created.

The new company, whose management has started its work in February 2018, will focus on four key areas: the production of a line of 3D printers and their components, the creation of materials and metal powders for 3D printing, the development of integrated software for additive systems, and the implementation of services on 3D-printing and introduction of additive technologies in production (including, in the part of the organization of production centers).



6.  The Ministry of Health of Russia is ready to attract Russian scientists with world-wide names from abroad to new research centers in various fields of medicine that are being created in the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Minister of Health of Russia Veronika Skvortsova at a meeting with fellow scientists from abroad on Monday.
