1. On February 6, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia has hosted the festive awarding of the winners of the IV All-Russian Prize "For Fidelity to Science". The awards were presented in 10 nominations, covering all directions of popularizing the achievements of Russian science.

2. From 5 to 8 April, the 21st Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies "Archimedes" will be held. Its purpose is to activate inventive, patent-licensing and innovation activities.

3. On February 5, the first meeting in 2018 of the Public Council of the State Corporation Roscosmos has taken place. The Public Council of Roscosmos heard the report of the Director General of the State Corporation Igor Komarov, during which he told about the results of work in 2017 and outlined the tasks for 2018.

4.  The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (SkTech) and the Medical Genetics Research Center under the auspices of FAO Russia will jointly analyze and process genetic data, monitor the quality of laboratory research results and create databases of medical genetic topics within the CoBrain-Analytics project. The relevant Memorandum was signed by partners on February 3, 2018 in Moscow, during the III Congress of the Industry Union Neuronet.

5. NArFU will receive the largest amount of data on the state of the environment of Arkhangelsk and the western Arctic.

For more than six months, the Center for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment of the North (Arctic) Federal University Lomonosov (NArFU) "Arctic" is working on the project "Improving the methodology of mass spectrometric screening, identification and identification of priority pollutants of Arctic ecosystems", which received a grant from the Russian Science Foundation.

6. Holding "Schwabe" (part of the state corporation "Rostec") has developed and patented  technology that allows constructing buildings and structures on unstable grounds, including ice. The development is primarily focused on application in the Arctic.
