1. A group of scientists from the Perm Polytechnic Institute was one of the first in Russia to start developing approaches to monitoring waste from the air. Researchers will be able to conduct a comprehensive study of them by updating the instrument base, within the framework of which in 2020 the Laboratory for Rational Use of Natural Resources and Nature-Like Technologies received high-precision equipment.

2. Russian scientists have created a universal polymer that increases the efficiency of cancer-detecting biosensors by more than two orders of magnitude. They proposed synthesis in a completely aqueous medium in the absence of surfactants, which eliminated the side effects. As a result of the modification, the electrochemical characteristics of the sensors have improved by more than two orders of magnitude.

3. The first prototype of the scientific equipment of the Teledroid robot designed to work in outer space will appear in February 2022. The Teledroid robot being created for work in open space can be deployed not on the ISS, but on a promising Russian orbital station.

4. Specialists of the NRC ‘Kurchatov Institute’, as part of a research group, have created a new form of the drug oxaliplatin for the treatment of oncological diseases. The innovative development is based on biocompatible nanoparticles made from block copolymers of lactide and ethylene oxide.

5. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved the Regulation on the Commission for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation. This Commission will be a permanent body under the government.
