1. In the next academic year, universities will be able to conduct interim attestation in a distance format using the Unified Biometric System(UBS) to identify the identity of students taking the exam. The regulation on the features of certification was approved by a government decree.



2. The research team of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas(NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin and the A.V. Topichev of the Russian Academy of Sciences created two new catalysts based on high-silica zeolites. Their development will be used for petrochemistry - for the processing of promising renewable plant raw materials.



3. Researchers at Skoltech and their colleagues proposed a photonic device from two optical resonators with liquid crystals inside them to study optical properties of this system that can be useful for future generations of optoelectronic and spinoptronic devices.



4. Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the proposal of the Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov to consolidate the status of young scientists in the law on science. This was discussed at a meeting in the Kremlin.



5. The manned spacecraft Soyuz MS-18 will fly to the International Space Station(ISS) in April a couple of minutes longer than its record-breaking predecessor, NASA reported. The crew of the Soyuz MS-18, which is planned to be launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome by the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket on April 9, includes the Russians Oleg Novitsky and Peter Dubrov, as well as the American Mark Vande Hai.
