1. Russia proposed using domestic research vessels(NISs) and other scientific infrastructure for planning and conducting international programs and projects within the framework of the UN Decade for Ocean Science. The proposal was announced at the 53rd session of the Executive Board of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO.

2. To improve the efficiency of signal transmission through the fiber, a special modification is used. Studies by Russian and German scientists have shown that using short laser pulses, it is possible to create a microrelief at the end of the fiber, due to which the transmission of infrared radiation energy increases by about 5% at each end. The developed technology provides a reduction in losses in a wide spectral range, in the future it is possible to achieve 99% radiation transmission for a given wavelength.

3. The state corporation Rosatom will allocate more than 6 billion rubles this year for the development of quantum technologies and the creation of the infrastructure necessary for the development and operation of a domestic quantum computer.

4. Scientists from the Ural Federal University, universities in Germany, South Korea and Japan have developed a new class of materials based on magnesium and titanium. The material has an unusual combination of properties - increased strength and a very low Young's modulus(elastic modulus). The work creates the prospect of using the obtained composites and other modified materials in the production of high-quality implants.

At the astrophysical testing ground of Irkutsk State University, the creation of a pilot complex for the TAIGA gamma observatory has been completed - a unique installation, one of the largest and most sensitive instruments for solving problems in the field of high-energy astrophysics. It will help to understand the history of the Universe, its development and current state, will contribute to the understanding of the fundamental laws of nature, and, possibly, will become the beginning of a new physics beyond the standard model.
