1. The service robot developed by a resident of the Skolkovo Foundation(Promobot) will teach robotics at the Moscow children's technopark Naukograd. Courses include nine hands-on labs. Children will learn how to operate a robot, learn about the face recognition system, become familiar with navigation in robotics, and will also be able to offer their own use of service robots.

2. RAS academics have begun to develop proposals for events that could be held within the framework of the Year of Science and Technology. For example, according to preliminary information, they are planning a competition for scientific works of schoolchildren. Also it is planned to intensify media coverage of the problems of science and technology, the success of Russian science, Russian scientists in various fields of science.

3. Skoltech researchers have figured out how, using chemical sensors and computer vision, to determine whether, for example, grilled chicken is cooked correctly. This method can be used by restaurant chefs to control and automate food preparation processes. It is possible that someday such functions will appear in home "smart" ovens.

4. Scientists of Tomsk State University (TSU) together with colleagues from the Institute of High Current Electronics (ISE) RAS have developed a monomeric coating that protects electronics from corrosion and temperature changes in the range from minus 196 to plus 130 degrees.

5. The new laboratory of the Tomsk Polytechnic University will develop materials for the fight against cancer and atherosclerosis The laboratory will be created at Tomsk Polytechnic University in 2021, where scientists will be able to make materials that can be used in medicine to suppress the growth of cancer cells and fight, for example, atherosclerosis.
