The Center will also be engaged in the development of advanced solutions in the field of railway infrastructure.

3. Russian researchers from Skoltech, RKhTU and IPHF synthesized new cathode materials based on polymers and tested them in lithium two-ion batteries. They showed that such cathodes can withstand up to 25,000 operating cycles, and can also be charged in a few seconds, which exceeds the capabilities of modern lithium-ion batteries. Also, using new cathodes, potassium two-ion batteries can be created that do not use expensive lithium.

4. Scientists from Tomsk Polytechnic University, together with colleagues from the University of Lille (France), synthesized a new material based on reduced graphene oxide for supercapacitors, which allowed them to store 1.7 times more electricity, the press service of TPU reports.
