5. At the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry named after Academicians M.M. Shemyakina and Yu.A. Ovchinnikov RAS created four versions of test systems for the detection of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. These test systems are able to detect antibodies of three different classes at once in human serum or plasma (IgM, IgG, IgA), which significantly increases the specificity of the tests. Specificity reflects the proportion of negative results that are correctly identified as negative, that is, the likelihood that non-sick subjects will be classified as not sick.
