1. A webinar on competitive selection for providing state support to leader companies in development of products, services and platform solutions based on «end-to-end» digital technologies will be held on November 7th, 2019. Application for participants is open until November 25, 2019. The winners will be determined by the tender committee formed by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.



2. «The strength of the Ural science is cooperation with large state corporations» - says Mr. Valery Charushin, Head of the Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences on October 28th, 2019. He added that integrating the academic science into the system of innovative renewal of the economy of Ural and Russia is the purpose for today. The plan plan to achieve that purpose includes several areas including digital technologies, materials, green technologies, human safety and health issues, the Arctic, as well as the social and humanitarian technologies. 



3. A meeting in the form of a seminar led by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Mr. Igor Kalyaev called “Prospects for the development of quantum technologies for collecting, processing and transmitting information in the Russian Federation” was held in the Presidential Hall of the Russian Academy of Sciences on October 30. The agenda of the meeting included five reports in the field of quantum technologies.



4. Employees of the faculty of chemistry of the Moscow State University discovered new semiconductor intermetallic compounds consisting of rhenium, gallium and germanium metals. The existence of all three elements was predicted by Dmitry Mendeleev. In the year of 150th anniversary of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements Russian chemists presented a study on a system consisting of these elements. The results are published in the journals “Inorganic Chemistry” and “Chemical Communications”. The study was supported by a grant from the Russian Science Foundation.



5. Russia and Belarus intend to implement a joint program «DNA identification», which involves the creation of a genetic data bank of the population of the two countries. According to Mr. Grigory Rapota, the Secretary of the Common State, a bank of genetic data of the population of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus will be created to identify the geographical and national characteristics of people in terms of perception of drugs. According to Mr. Rapota, this program will help doctors in their work and will help investigating authorities in solving crimes.
