1. Head of the Udmurt Republic Mr. Alexander Brechalov and the General Director of “Roscosmos” Mr. Dmitry Rogozin signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of development and implementation of intellectual and creative potential for children and youth, of modern models of professional orientation for students and of a mentoring system in Udmurtia.

2.  A new application for monitoring the election process successfully tested in the Leningrad region. The system called “Eloris” that allows for quickly analysis and storage of information was tested at 57 polling stations during Russia’s single voting day (the 8th of September) in Leningrad region at 57 polling stations. The application was created at the STI Competence Center.

3. “Marinet” a part of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) plans to create an international network of distribution points for Russian high-tech enterprises in the maritime industry. The first hub is planned to open in Finland towards the EU market.

4.  Russian astronaut discovers the reason behind the failed docking attempt. “Soyuz” capsule carrying a humanoid robot called “Fedor” failed to dock at the International Space Station (ISS) in August. Russian astronaut Alexander Skvortsov discovered that the docking attempt failed due to an unplugged cable of the rendezvous system.

5. Siberian chemists developed an improved survival ration. The scientists claim that standard rations that are used by sailors in case of shipwrecks are imperfect and lack in composition, while the new improved rations allow human body to waste less energy on biological assimilation of ration’s molecules. The next step is biological testing on mice.
