1. On August 6 in Herzen “MNIOI”, the branch of the Scientific Research Center for Radiology of the Russian Ministry of Health, the ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement was held between the Kyungpook National University Chilgok Hospital (KNUCH) (Republic of Korea) and the Federal State Medical Research Center for Radiology of the Russian Ministry of Health. The document allows these two institutions to develop and conduct joint research, exchange employees, organize remote oncological consultations in the field of pathomorphology, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, etc.



2. RVC and Rosstandart held the first meeting of the Technical Committee on Artificial Intelligence. The committee consisted of representatives of about 80 companies, research organizations, universities and authorities, including Sberbank, Yandex, MGTS, Russian Railways, Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Higher School of Economics, St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Kurchatov Institute Research Center, etc. During the meeting, it was decided to create five workgroups in different areas as part of the committee.



3. Scientists at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) have developed a new method for monitoring the growth of carbon nanotubes using neural networks and, in the future, it can be used to create complex electronic devices of a new generation.



4. Scientists from St. Petersburg State University analyzed the information obtained from the European Gaia space telescope (Global Astrometric Interferometer for Astrophysics) and clarified data on the motion and the exact location of several million stars.



5. Scientists at the Southwestern State University (South-West State University, Kursk) have reached an agreement with Nornickel(mining and metallurgical company) to finalize the industrial exoskeleton, which is designed to facilitate the physical labor of workers and reduce the risk of injury at work. It is planned to launch its mass production within the two years.



6. Researchers from the Tomsk State University and the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies (SSUGiT, Novosibirsk) have found a way to double the resolution of terahertz devices.
