1. The leaders of the RAS and the National Academy of Sciences of the USA, Alexander Sergeyev and Marsha McNatt, signed a new agreement on cooperation in scientific, engineering and medical research in Washington on Tuesday.

2. Arkady Dvorkovich, Chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation, visited Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen and discussed with the leadership of the Chinese concern and prospects for cooperation.

3. A group of scientists from the Scientific Research Institute PMM TSU conducted a theoretical-experimental study of the interaction and methods of protecting elements of spacecraft from high-speed impactors. Scientists have created methods and models that allow testing the functional characteristics of new materials in an extreme environment under maximum load conditions. The project was implemented with the support of RNF.

4. Representatives of about 20 scientific organizations in Russia, as well as scientists from China and Finland take part in the 42nd international seminar "Physics of auroral phenomena" at the Polar Geophysical Institute (Apatity, Murmansk region). As the Institute's director, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Boris Kozelov told TASS, more than 120 scientists take part in the seminar, which will last until the end of the week.

5. Russia is in the fifth place in the world in terms of investments in technology development, research and culture. This was said on Tuesday by TASS by the President of the IPChain Association, Andrei Krichevsky, on the basis of a business breakfast as part of the second day of the Global IP Exchange Forum in Berlin.
