The Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) is considering the possibility of opening representative offices of the Academy in Switzerland and South Korea to develop more active cooperation with scientists from these countries. This was announced on Wednesday at the presidium meeting, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Balega.

2. A research and education center (REC) is planned to be created in the Tyumen region within the framework of the national project "Science".

3. Scientists from St. Petersburg and the United States have created a special material that can “ideally” conduct electromagnetic waves through itself and control their movement. 4. The staff of the Institute of Biophysics of the Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences proposed a new way of processing cellulose and other debris in space. Butakova of the National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) develops fuel that does not lose efficiency in low and negative temperatures. The experimental mixture includes diesel fuel and water, the TPU press service reported on Wednesday.

6. Specialists from the Sarapulsky Electrogenerating Plant (SEGP) from Udmurtia produced and tested a thrust regulator for a liquid-propellant rocket engine, which will allow the Russian amphibious module of the international research mission ExoMars-2020 to land on Mars.
