1. On October 6, the Minister for Science and Higher Education of Russia Mikhail Kotyukov and the Minister of Energetics of Russia Aleksandr Novak held an “open collar” meeting with student and young specialists in the frames of the resulting, youth’s day of the Russian energy week – 2018 #Vmesteyarche. During the question and answer session Mikhail Kotyukov and Aleksandr Novak drew attention to the necessity of development of education programs that are aimed to the young specialist involvement in the energy sector.      



2. On October 5, at the “Rossiya Segodnya” press-conference devoted to the VIII All-Russian Festival NAUKA 0+ and science promotion in Russia took place. The highlight events of the Festival will be held in Moscow from 12 till 14 of October. The general aim of the Festival NAUKA 0+ is to promote science among kids and adults and to increase interest to the world’s and Russian science latest achievements and revelations.



3. October 5, 2018, the Roskosmos State Corporation signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of manned cosmonautics and satellite navigation with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) during the visit of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to India.   The agreement provides for the participation of Roskosmos in the preparation of Indian cosmonauts, assistance in the development of habitat and life in space, the spacesuit. The parties agreed to form joint working groups on relevant areas of cooperation.



4. The contract form of the grant assignation for the university based national and technological initiative centers (NTI) has been confirmed. The corresponding order was published on the official state law database website. In 2017-2020 for the realization of NTI centers the Federal Budget provides the sum of 7,8 billion rubles of assignations.



5. The business center «Amaltea», the key object of the Skolkovo Science City, has been opened just before the “Open Innovations” Forum is launched. The building is constructed under the Silver-level LEED eco-standards with integrated system “Smart City” that automatically controls the lightning, ventilation and energy usage systems. Participants of the “Open Innovations” Forum will be the first visitors of the new business center.



6. On October 5, following the results of the meeting with the RAS President Aleskandr Sergeev, the Head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East Aleksandr Kozlov tasked to frame a plan for the Far East science program development. According to Sergeev, the national world-level science center with perspectives for deep-sea exploration, genetic engineering and alternative energetic resources could be built up in the region.
